RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» Make Rose Masala Chai:

  1. Crush cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, and ginger in a mortar-pestle and set aside.
  2. Pour the water into a saucepan.
  3. After that, add crushed cinnamon, cloves, fennel seeds, and ginger.
  4. Add rose petals, tea leaves, and sugar to the saucepan.
  5. Stir well and boil for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add ground cardamom and stir well to combine.
  7. Now, add the milk and let it come to a boil.
  8. Turn the heat to low, then boil for 7 minutes.
  9. Now add the rose water and boil for 2 more minutes.
  10. Strain the tea into cups.
  11. Serve Rose Masala Chai immediately with some butter cookies or jeera biscuit.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. For rose flavor, I have used dried rose petals and rose water. Adding rose water is optional here. You can also use rose syrup as a sweetener for intense rose flavors here.
  2. For making this rose masala chai tea, you can use loose leaf tea, oolong tea, caffeine free tea, organic black tea, or even tea bags.
