RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» How to Make Avocado Chutney

  1. Cut 2 ripe avocados around the seed and twist the halves apart. Scoop out the pit and add the avocados to a blender along with cilantro.
  2. Also, add the garlic cloves, ginger, green chilies, cumin seeds, salt, and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the blender.
  3. Add the ice cubes to make the chutney super smooth. Blend everything until nice and smooth.
  4. Spoon the avocado chutoney into your favorite dish. Top it with cherry tomato halves, sprinkle with almond flakes, and add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of texture and a spicy kick. Your delicious avocado chutney is ready. Enjoy it as a side with paratha, spread it on bread, or use it as a dip for crackers or chips.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. I have used mildly hot green chilies here. To make it spicier, you can use hot green chilies.
  2. If you are making it for kids, make sure to omit the green chilies from this recipe.
  3. To make it extra creamy and protein-rich, you can add a dollop of chilled Greek yogurt to this chutney.
  4. You can transform this chutney into raita by mixing 2-3 tablespoons of avocado chutney with 1.5 cups of chilled whisked yogurt, fresh cilantro, and a dash of roasted cumin powder.
