- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Remove the pits from the dates (or use pitted dates). Soak the dates in warm milk for 15-20 minutes, then blend into a smooth paste.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas using a fork. Add the oil, blended date mixture, and vanilla extract. Mix well using a spatula.
- Add the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts, reserving 2 tablespoons for topping. Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch pan. Gently tap the pan 3-4 times to remove air bubbles. Top with the reserved walnuts.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
