Cheesy Blueberry Halwa
Cheesy blueberry halwa is prepared with semolina, blueberry, coconut, and cream cheese. This recipe is a little twist to regular suji halwa.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
» Cheesy Blueberry Halwa:
- 1/2 cup semolina (rava/suji)
- 3 tablespoons clarified butter (ghee)
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 2 cups hot milk
- 1/4 cup fresh cream cheese cheese
- 5 tablespoons sugar, or as per taste
- 1 cup pureed blueberries
- 4 tablespoons nuts, chopped (cashew nuts, almonds, and pistachios)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder (elaichi powder)
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
» How to Make Cheesy Blueberry Halwa:
- Heat clarified butter (ghee) in a pan. Add semolina to it, and roast on low heat till it turns golden brown.
- Now add desiccated coconut and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add hot milk, and pureed blueberries.
- Let it cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.
- After that, add cream cheese and mix well. Cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder. Stir continuously to prevent any lumps.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes or halwa dries.
- Remove cheesy blueberry halwa from heat.
- Garnish with cashew nuts and desiccated coconut. Serve hot or warm. Enjoy!
RECIPE NOTES
- To make the blueberry puree, simply add blueberries to a blender jar and blend until pureed.
- You can use both fresh and frozen blueberries for this halwa recipe.
