RECIPE INGREDIENTS
» For Date Snickers
- 16-18 soft or medjool dates
- Peanut butter
- 200 grams milk chocolate
- Roasted salted peanuts
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
» How to make Date Snickers
- Add the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Remove the pits from the dates by making a small slit along one side without cutting them entirely in half.
- Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of peanut butter and a few roasted salted peanuts for added crunch. Using a fork or skewer, dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate, make sure it is fully coated. Let the chocolate to drip off.
- Line a baking tray with a parchment paper. Place the coated dates on a parchment-lined tray. Sprinkle crushed peanuts over the chocolate-coated dates before the chocolate sets for extra crunch.
- Freeze the dates for 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm. Once firm, remove them from the tray, serve immediately or store for later.
RECIPE NOTES
- For an extra chocolatey layer, dip the dates twice in chocolate. This double coating gives them a more chocolatey and luxurious finish.
- For a crunchier outer layer, add 2-3 tablespoons of crushed roasted peanuts to the melted chocolate before coating the dates.
