  1. Place 3 slices of bread in a stack on a chopping board and spread butter on the top side. Heat a skillet or non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Place the buttered side down, and spread butter on the top side as well. Toast until golden brown on both sides.
  2. In a bowl, mix the milk and cardamom powder. Pour the milk over the toasted bread slices in the skillet and let the bread soak up the milk for 1-2 minutes. Cook on medium-low heat until the bread absorbs the milk and becomes soft but not mushy.
