Whereas Bread Chana Chaat or Bread Chole Chaat is a great substitute for Tikki chole Chaat. In the Bread Chana or Channa Chaat recipe, you swap Aloo Tikki with some toasted or shallow fried bread pieces. Then the crispy bread pieces are covered with a generous amount of piping hot chana masala (spicy chickpea curry), tamarind chutney, potatoes, coriander chutney, onions, coriander leaves, and some sev.
Both of the above bread chaat recipes are a perfect solution for those times when you are craving some spicy (chatpati) and finger-licking chaat.

Tip 1. I have toasted bread in a pan, but you can also toast them in a toaster or shallow fry them.
Tip 2. If you want crispy bread cubes, then make sure to toast bread sliced at medium-low heat, and let them cool completely before using in chaats.
Tip 3. Toasting bread pieces ahead of time is also an excellent option. That way you can make chaat anytime you want, and also you will get crispy bread pieces.
Tip 4. Always serve bread chaats right after you add the toppings. Or else the bread would absorb all the liquids and the chaat would turn soggy.

Tip 6. If you don’t have sev, then you can also use fried, roasted, or chili peanuts.
Tip 7. I have used nylon sev, feel free to use any sev or bhujiya of your choice.
Tip 8. If you don’t have tamarind chutney, then you can also use tomato ketchup.
Tip 9. When making chaat, make sure to keep all the ingredients handy. This way, making chaat will be easier and you won’t miss out on any important ingredients.
Tip 10. For seasoning, I have used chaat masala powder that adds a nice piquancy to chaat. If you don’t have chaat masala powder then skip it.
Tip 11. Black salt tastes best in chaats, but if you don’t have black salt then you can use any rock salt you have handy.
