Fruits and Vegetables Fiesta Salad With Honey Pepper Dressing. This is also one of my favorite salads to make during any season. A healthy recipes season!
HELLO to this tantalizingly-healthy Tuesday!
Let me tell you something about last weekend. Last Saturday we went to a party, and not to mention, it was so much FUN.
Yes, parties are so much fun, except for one side effect! 🙁 Know what that is.
Actually for some people this is not a side effect. But for me, Party=Overeating! I mean seriously!! 🙁
Thus, the Sunday morning screamed for a light meal. And when it comes to a light and filler meal, my stomach shouts for only one thing. YES! Only one thing! 🙂
Stomach: ‘I need some detox diet badly’!
Well, we all need detox diet once in a while so let’s face it. We all require HEALTHY meals to make life balanced.
Whether you want to clean up after a lot of greasy eating, or want to give some rest to your body, or you want to lose weight in a healthy way. Or just simply want a break from regular eating routine and want to have something different. Or simply want something Guilt-Free.
If you find yourself in any of the above situations, then you are at the right place.
Tell me, what comes in your mind first when we talk about healthiest meal? For me, salads and smoothies strike as the first thought.
A super healthy and energizing blend of fruits and veggies which tastes like the most delicious treat. These are fat-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Also, there are no artificial sugars added to this.
These jam-packed of nutrients surely would take good care of you. And the best thing about these meals are—they taste healthy+heavenly.
And for my family, this Sunday morning meal was all about SALAD, SALAD, and SALAD.:D
After a high demand from my stomach, I prepared this AWESOME ‘Fruits Vegetables Fiesta Salad with Honey Pepper Dressing’. And making this salad was as flat as a pancake!
Just some chopping and tossing is all that is needed here, and the most EXOTIC and DELISH Salad is ready.
As it was Sunday, and Ado was at home. She was with me all the time while I was busy in the kitchen as usual. I did not tell her to eat that salad or anything like that, as I thought she would not like it. So I made her favorite pasta.
As usual, I was clicking photos before grabbing that bowl of YUMMINESS. And when I was clicking pictures, Ado came to me, and started grabbing stuff out of the bowl. She just got super excited by seeing those naturally gorgeous colors of this fresh salad.
She picked some grapes and said she just loved it. 😉
BTW, FYI, she did not even taste her favorite pasta!
I think sometimes with the kids, the best approach is to just don’t tell them what you want them to do. And they will simply love to follow you when they do not get any instructions. This works with Ado every time. 😉
So in my case, not telling her to eat salad did the trick. 😉
The best part about this salad is that this is so vibrant, and indeed super delicious too. If you want proof? Ado is the proof that it was super awesome. She just loved this salad. Most of her favorite ingredients were there in this.
So at least I didn’t have to worry about her veggie diet for that day! 😀
This salad is one of the easiest recipes I have presented to you guys in a while. This is also one of my favorite salads to make during any season. YUP! It would work for any season! 🙂
This salad would go well with almost everything. Simply adjust the amount of dressing to your liking. It literally comes together in less than 10 minutes!!! YES!
If you like salads, then you would also like this healthy and delicious chickpea salad, kidney bean salad, and orange salad.
I LOVE this salad more, once it is set in the fridge for a while, so the fruits and veggies can absorb the dressing. But, If you like to eat it right away GO AHEAD! It is so good in any form.
Top with your favorite nuts—it would add so much flavor.
Take a large bowl. Combine, red bell pepper, carrot, green peas, raspberries, banana, cucumber, apple, green grapes, and onions.
In another bowl combine lemon juice, white vinegar, cayenne pepper powder, dried parsley, black pepper powder, honey, olive oil, and salt. Whisk well until combined. Your dressing is ready.
Add a few drops of pepper sauce, if you like hot! Pour this dressing over the salad and toss well. Top with almonds and serve.
