Hello, Guys!

You must be thinking that I am on a ‘Cooking/Baking Basics’ spree. Well, I guess I am. I have these four simple reasons for this:

I have been getting a lot of these requests these days.

I do a lot of DIY, so why not share them with all. After all, sharing is caring and I care for each one of you.

If you live in a country where this is not easily available then you can easily make it yourself at home.

And these basic DIYs are easy and fun and the same time they improve our skills. Right?

Make it in no time:

Did you ever make your very own condensed milk? If not, then you are missing out on something of great worth. Every time when you bake or cook something you don’t have to rush to the grocery store to buy just this.

And the satisfaction that this is HOMEMADE, is worth a little effort. Plus, it is easy to make and it tastes like the readymade too.

I use Condensed Milk a lot in my cooking and baking. Well, you’d already know that this is the one main ingredient when it comes to 2-3 ingredient No-Machine Ice Creams.

I always make my own condensed milk. So last week when I was making condensed milk for the ice cream, I shot a video. And now you also know that an ice cream recipe is coming your way ;-). Well of course, it’s summer time.

Made from scratch:

The good thing is that this version is made from scratch and it requires only 3 ingredients. Yes, you can make your own sweetened condensed milk which can be used in your cakes, desserts, ice creams, coffee, and more!

I just love this particular recipe of homemade sweetened condensed milk and I hope you guys would adore it as much as I do.

Literally tried and tested:

This recipe makes a rich, sweet and creamy version of sweetened condensed milk. This is made with just a few ingredients that I usually have at hand – milk, sugar, and a pinch of baking soda. That’s it.

I’ve made this recipe at least 50 times over the course of bygone years, so you can tell that this is really tried and tested recipe, many times over. 🙂

Storing this Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk is easy:

Boiling milk and sugar on a medium low heat can really give you this thick, syrupy milk. Once it cools down, it gets even thicker. Store it in a sterilized jar and use it for your baking and cooking.

It will last in the fridge for weeks if you don’t need it right away.  You can refrigerate it for up to a week and it can last in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Make it VEGAN for some extra fun:

This Condensed milk contains milk, but if you prefer dairy free version then I also have a recipe for that. I even make my own coconut condensed milk, so if you guys are interested then do let me know, I will share that recipe tutorial also. 🙂
