Busy weekends are fun: Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend! Well, for me it was fun unlimited. As I wrote about the busy weekend in my last post, it was really busy. But not because of the work-related schedule, but because we relaxed and we did what we love to do.
And they say, it is the best relaxation if you do what you love.
Abhishek was overjoyed and loved it to the core. It’s because I planned everything which he likes on his birthday. Here’s what he loves, and what we actually did.
He loves to travel with family — checked.
He loves train travels — checked.
He loves amusement parks — checked.
He adores his holiday evenings by watching outside the big glass window which should be at a height and in the center of a city, so that he can see all the hustle bustle from a different perspective — checked.
He loves to have some quality time with his favorite person, and me ;), while sipping some sparkling wine — checked.
He loves the energetic ambience with some chillout music while he is deeply involved with some of the above things — checked.

What we exactly did?
We took an early morning train to a city about 3-hour ride from my place. Little-A and Daddy grabbed the window seats and I got the one next to the window! Well, I didn’t mind that because I am not so crazy for window seats.
However what I told them was something different: I said: “I am happy in this seat as long as you both were enjoying the ride while watching the flashes go by”. 😉
Mini vacations are great
The trip was for 1 night and 2 days. It was the smallest trip we ever had. It was short, but satisfyingly sweet. We all loved it. 🙂 We reached there at about 11:00am; checked-in the pre-booked hotel. Dropped our luggage and had some hearty lunch in hotel’s restaurant.
Then we headed towards the city sights without any further delay.

Amusement parks are fascinating
We always prefer to walk around the city to taste that city’s culture. So we roamed around for a while and then went to an amusement park. It was so much fun for all three of us! We all love rides! 🙂

Little-A got very tired after that. Thus we came back to the hotel. Had a comforting dinner there! The hotel was really nice and we loved the lunch there, so we didn’t mind having another meal there. After dinner, Little-A fell asleep very soon, and then the magic started.
We both enjoyed our evening with glasses full of bubblies, and what seemed like a memorable endless chat.
Sunday calls for relaxation
No matter where you are Sundays always call for relaxation. So the next day morning we had our breakfast in the hotel and relaxed all day by doing Nothing. Yeah, nothing! Later in the day, we caught the train back to my place.

Reached our home by close to midnight! Well, the sun was still shining. Yeah, that’s the beauty of Europe; we do get to see the midnight-sun for some days over the summer. So, there we were at our home, after a relaxing 40-hour mini holiday. And there it was, ‘Home sweet home!’ 🙂
That’s how we celebrated Abhishek’s birthday and it was the way he liked. 🙂
These Brownies are Made With Love
I think you know that I love peaches because I have said it so many times before ;). And you also might know that I love chocolates. And probably you also know that my hubby loves chocolate too. But the one thing which you don’t know is that he doesn’t like cakes.
Not like he doesn’t eat cake at all. It’s like, if I make a cake then he will eat just one slice and rest is left for Little-A and me only! 😉 Though Little-A certainly has no issues with that, but I do! I certainly can’t give her that much of the sweet stuff.
Also, I can’t eat that much of the sweet stuff myself.

Baking brownies was a marvellous idea
We all love brownies in my family. And when I bake them they are everything — we try to fit them in all our meals. They are our breakfast, brunch and evening snack until the pan is empty. This time, we had them for dinner also! 😉
