Ingredients

  • Strawberries: It is the star ingredient of this recipe. I have used fresh ones for the refreshing taste, but you can also use frozen strawberries in this recipe.

  • Sweetened Condensed Milk: It is used to make these creamsicles rich and sweet. I have used homemade sweetened condensed milk in this recipe, but you can also use store-bought condensed milk here.

  • Chilled Milk: A little bit of full cream milk helps everything blend smoothly without being too thick. You can use any milk you like.

How to Make Strawberry Creamsicle

Making these ice cream bars is very simple and easy.

  • To make these creamsicles, simply slice the rinsed and cleaned strawberries. Then add them to a blender along with sweetened condensed milk and chilled milk and blend until everything is nice and smooth.

  • Pour the strawberry mix into your popsicle molds, and cover them with the lid. Then insert the popsicle sticks and freeze for 6 hours or until frozen.

  • Once the creamsicles are set, run the mold under warm water for a few seconds, and then pull them out by the sticks. Your creamy and delicious strawberry creamsicles are ready to be served.

Variations

Mix Berry Creamsicle

To make mixed berry creamsicles, use a mix of any of your favorite berries. The rest of the recipe will be the same.

Vegan Strawberry Creamsicle

To make vegan Strawberry Creamsicles, swap sweetened condensed milk with vegan sweetened condensed milk, and swap milk with a dairy-free milk alternative.

Coconut Strawberry Creamsicle

For a coconut strawberry creamsicle version, swap sweetened condensed milk with coconut sweetened condensed milk. Also, use coconut milk instead of regular milk.

Other Fruits

You can try making these creamsicles using a mix of other fruits such as bananas, mangoes, or blueberries. Simply blend the other fruit of your choice along with the strawberry mixture and pour into molds.

Yogurt Swirl Creamsicle

To make these creamsicles, mix some Greek yogurt with a little honey and swirl it into the strawberry blend before freezing.

Serving Suggestions

These creamsicles taste best when enjoyed chilled and frozen on a hot day, or any day when you are craving something sweet. You can also serve them along with other desserts such as orange ice cream, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Clementine Frozen Yogurt Bites, Chocolate Covered Raspberry Bites,  and Chocolate Covered Kiwi at parties or get-togethers.

Storage Suggestions

These bars keep well for up to 1 month when stored in a freezer. To store, wrap each frozen creamsicle in a plastic bag. Seal them tightly so they don’t pick up freezer smells, and freeze until you are ready to enjoy them.

Tips & Tricks to make the best strawberry creamsicle

  1. Strawberries: They are the main ingredient for this recipe, so make sure that you choose the fresh, organic, and sweeter ones. I like to use hand-picked ones for making strawberry desserts. They just taste the best.

  2. Without molds: If you don’t have a popsicle mold, then you can make them using freezer-safe small plastic or paper cups.

  3. Texture: If you like a chunky texture in your creamsicles, then feel free to blend while leaving some chunks for a bit of texture.

  4. Frozen strawberries: If you are using frozen strawberries, then thaw them for a few minutes before blending.

  5. Sweetener: You can adjust the sweetness of this creamsicle recipe. Once blended, taste it, and if it needs more sweetness, then add a bit more sweetened condensed milk and blend again.

  6. Easy removal: For easy removal of these creamsicles, make sure to run the mold under warm water for a few seconds. This step will ensure easy removal.
